A Father’s Love

A Father’s Love

Wounded child
Battered child
Let Me comfort you
As a father should
In a loving way…
Not a hurtful way.
Let Me shelter you
Let Me comfort you and
Protect you
From your pain.
I’ll shield you
And keep you safe
Underneath the shelter
of My wings.
I’ll stay with you
And wipe away your tears.
I’ll never leave you lonely
And afraid.
Wounded child
Battered child
I love you.
