A Father’s Love

A Father’s Love

Wounded child
Battered child
Let Me comfort you
As a father should
In a loving way…
Not a hurtful way.
Let Me shelter you
Let Me comfort you and
Protect you
From your pain.
I’ll shield you
And keep you safe
Underneath the shelter
of My wings.
I’ll stay with you
And wipe away your tears.
I’ll never leave you lonely
And afraid.
Wounded child
Battered child
I love you.

Oasis

Let the Lord be your Oasis in the desert.

Oasis

Be my Oasis, Lord.
Satisfy my thirst.
Fill me up
to overflowing.

My journey through
the desert
has been long
and tiring.
I am dry.
I want to
rest in You –
in the shelter of Your
wings, in the
comfort
of Your hand.

I long for
Your
living waters.
I know that
they will satisfy
every ounce
of my being.

Restore my life,
cleanse me,
make me pure.
Make me more
like You.
I need You
to be
my Oasis

The Chasm

Have you ever felt like you are in a chasm? There is hope!

The Chasm

You continue
to cling to your
lost hope.
You’re in
a snare that
is getting much
more painful.

You wander aimlessly
to find a
bigger shovel
to make
a larger
chasm of broken
hopes and dreams.

You begin to realise
that you are the reaper
of your sins harvest.
You’ve chosen
the road
that seems easiest
to follow,
yet, your heart isn’t in
it anymore.

The hike is
too monotonous…
still, you keep going.
Is there an easier way?

Look to the Guide
for direction
and hope.
He’ll pull you out
of your pit of
hopelessness
and direct
your path.
He’ll free you
from that
painful snare.
His love is
deeper than
the chasm
you’ve made.
In fact,
He’ll fill it with
love, joy, and peace.
It will be
as if that chasm
never existed.

Existence

Many of us go through life just wandering and hoping we have the answers. Or perhaps knowing we have the answers. But do we really? Are we just book smart and a know it all? Do we look at the big picture and the spiritual things in life? Do you know without a shadow of a doubt what life really is all about? What about the afterlife? Are you just merely existing? Does God exist? Will those book smarts help you with the answers to your questions?

Existence

Amused by life
and the absurdity of it all
yet, turning a blind eye
to what lies after this life –
an amusing thought?

Existing without
knowing or believing how or why;
a life that is certain
of what is certain –
that God doesn’t exist.

A chance existence.
The Big Bang.
Existing in the absurd life
of believing in nothing,
because believing in something
would make you insane.

Truth is too far fetched,
because Truth would mean
you have been lied to
right to your face –
deceived by the the Deceiver –
the father of lies.

Amused by life
and the absurdity of it all
yet, not seeing the Light
you seem to ignore –
a tragic thought…

Graffiti

Graffiti

You have
written
on the tapestry
of my
heart.
Left You
inscription
on my
mind.
Your signature
is on
my spirit.
My soul is
adorned
with Your
autograph.
Your handwriting
is beautifully
graffitied
over me.

At His Throne

At His Throne

Humbled before You
Reaching for You
Bowing at Your feet
Awed by Your greatness
I am amazed

Court Case

Picture yourself on the witness stand. Now picture yourself being asked, grilled about your beliefs, your Christian beliefs, your trust and love for Christ. You’re true relationship with Him. How would you fair?

Court Case

If you were on trial
would you lie?
If you were a witness,
would you purge
your testimony?
Would you be in
contempt of court?
Would you try to hide
the truth?
Would your words
acquit you?
Or will they
condemn you?
So help you, God.
