The Search

Jaded and scarred
Lost and confused
Desire for more
than what the
eye beholds.

Danger and fear
Darkness and delusion
Groping for a light
that you can’t
seem to find.

Searching and yearning
For the truth and wisdom
But you can’t seem
to see
an end to hopelessness.

Desire and Light
Desire and Answers
A Faith and Trust in something
Other than yourself
and your vices.

Longing and Reason
Hope and Truth
A feeling of peace
that passes
all understanding.

Jaded and hardened
Lost and wandering
Searching for the One
Who will hold you
in the shelter of
His wings.

In our busy lives, do we stop and pray? Do we stop and look for Jesus? Are we the shining the light of Jesus to strangers? Are we able to share hope to those who need comfort? Or are we just another face in the crowd?

Pardon me,
do you know Him?
Pardon me,
have you seen Him?
Pardon me,
can you help me?
Pardon me,
I want to see Jesus.

To just catch a glance
of the One they call
Messiah,
the Redeemer and King.
To just see His wonderful
face.
To be in His presence.
To reach out and touch Him.
To be in His light.

Pardon me,
do you really know Him?
Pardon me,
have you really seen Jesus?
Pardon me.
